COVID 19

Due to the current NI Executive Restrictions and guidance from the Methodist Church in Ireland, we have moved our weekly services on-line.  They can be viewed either thorough our Facebook page or our Youtube channel.  Links are at the bottom of the page.

Church Services

Sunday Services are held at 11am, and are usually led by our minister, Rev Ken Connor.

The evening service are held in Glenburn Methodist, at 7.00 pm

Services are open to all, and generally last 1hr - 1hr 15 mins.

There is a pre-service prayer time from 10.30 - 10.45am in the Vestry.

Tea and coffee are served before the morning service (from approximately 10.30am) .

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is generally celebrated once a month, usually on the first Sunday morning of the month (occasionally this varies - the Church Calendar has details).  You do not have to be a church member, or a Methodist, to join with us - as we say, "The table is the table of the Lord, and is open to all who love Him or who earnestly seek to love Him".

If you are unable to stay for Communion, or do not wish to, you will be given the opportunity to leave quietly just before the Communion begins.

If you wish to take Communion, but are unable to go to the front of the church to do so, please speak to one of the stewards, who will be glad to ensure that Communion is brought to you where you are seated.

Accessibility

The church and halls are wheelchair-accessible.  A loop system is available for those with hearing aids.  Our stewards are always happy to help with any needs you may have - please speak to any of them and let them know what you require.

Crèche

On Sunday mornings we have a crèche for younger children (pre-school).  This takes place in the Youth Centre, and provides a safe place for children and babies to play and have fun.  Many of our children come into church for the first part of the service and then go out to crèche at the same time as the Sunday School and Bible Class.  However, if you would prefer to leave your child into crèche for the entire service, this is also fine - just try to be there by 10.55.

Parents are also welcome to bring small babies into church if they prefer.  Baby changing facilities are available in the church and both the halls.

Please note that the crèche is only available for children whose parents or carers are in the church service.

Sunday School & Bible Class

Sunday School is for children of Primary School age.  We have a range of Bible stories, songs, games and crafts.  Children come into church at the start of the service, and then go to the Large Hall after approximately half an hour, until the main service ends.

Bible Class is for children of Secondary School age, up to the age of 16.  It meets at the same time as Sunday School, and generally we have a relaxed Bible discussion, with time to chat together about what we're learning, and what's going on in the rest of our lives.

If you would like your child to attend Sunday School or Bible Class, just send them to church on any Sunday.  The stewards will introduce you to the Sunday School teachers, who will be happy to tell you more.
